 OFFICIAL RE-OPENING

May 8, 2020

Monday May 11th we will be our official reopening!

I can’t wait to see everyone and am excited about getting back to lashing.

Please make sure you get your new form filled out before you arrive.

As a reminder:

  • If you decided to get your lashes done somewhere else, please know the standard removal rule applies: If the quality of the lashes or application is not up to par we will need to remove them and start over.

  • The appointments are spaced out and ready for REOPENING. We will be using your previous appointment date and shifting it to the new open date. (For instance: if you are booked for April 27th at 10:00 you will be moved to May 11th at 10:00). This may not work for some people but we will handle this on a case by case basis

  • If I have not personally reach out (using the phone number: 404-538-9136) by Sunday, May 10th about scheduling, YOU ARE NOT ON THE SCHEDULE FOR WHEN WE REOPEN. If you want to be on the schedule for when we reopen please text me at 404-538-9136.

  • Please don’t try and book online unless you are booking a date after MAY 25th. Your appointment will be deleted because I am manually entering all new up until that date.

  • Everyone MUST wear a mask or face covering, temperatures will be checked at the door, and all appointments will come through the garage!

SEE YOU SOON!

 Postponing Repoening

April 25, 2020

This is very important. Please read in entirety before you text/call.

My goal is to be completely transparent with everyone through out this process. As most of you probably have seen over the last week, the reaction to reopening has not been favored by most. I have to admit, I always thought it was a bit too soon as well. But, with the overwhelming pressure to reopen I, like most salons, gave a tentative reopen date.

I’ve been watching the numbers and talking to people on the front lines while considering my options. With the number of COVID related cases/deaths still increasing, and lack of federal, state, and local government consensus on how to proceed, I have decided it is best to postpone reopening. As of now we will not reopen on April 27th. The new reopen date is undetermined. I will let everyone know as soon as I decide. In the spirit of transparency I hope to get started Early/Mid May!

I hope you guys stay safe and healthy and continue to be patient through this all. I’m so thankful to have such understanding and loyal customers. I can’t wait to get back lashing as soon as possible!

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! READ!

  • The appointments are spaced out and ready for REOPENING. When we decide to reopen we are using the current schedule and shifting it to the new open date. • Please don’t try and book online until we REOPEN. Your appointment will be deleted because I am manually entering all new appointments for now.

  • When we do reopen I want everyone to feel confident that their health and safety is my number one priority. I have been reading several salon forums and pages since the Governors announcement. Luckily, I do not have the same problem many salons are having in terms of having enough sanitation products. As most of you know, I am a bit of a germaphobe and have been stocked up with masks, sanitizers, barbicide, surface cleaners, air purifiers, etc. for months now.

 HLBB Reopening

April 21, 2020

As most of you know, the Governor of Georgia re-opened the state to non-essential business. This is both exciting and scary for many of us but I have and will continue to do everything I can do to reopen safely. I will be tentatively opening back up on Monday, April 27th. Over the next several days I will be monitoring the numbers to insure I am making the best choice for you, the rest my clients, and myself.

I will be reaching out to everyone starting today and tomorrow to get you rescheduled. If you already had an appointment booked on April 6th through April 17th you already have an appointment secured. You will hear from me as soon as I can get to you.

HOW WE WILL REOPEN:

If you or anyone you have come in contact with are feeling sick or have a fever, or have felt sick or had a fever in the 7 days leading up to your appointment PLEASE call/text 404-538-4262 to reschedule your appointment.

  • Masks/face-covering are REQUIRED

  • Checking temperature at the door (Please, be responsible and check your temperature before you arrive)

  • Taking less clients in a day to make sure there is time between clients to extensively sanitize the room.

  • Come with CLEAN hair, face, and eyelashes.

  • You are welcome to bring a hair tie or hair covering.

  • If you would like removal of old lashes and a new set applied please make sure to tell me so I can include extra time for this

  • If you have been going else where to get your lashes done please let us know so we can allot for enough time for possible removal.

  • Groupons are not valid for existing clients.

  • Each client will sign a consent form outlining these details to ensure that everyone has fully read and agrees to these guidelines. Please “click” consent form button below.

Thank you for being patient and understanding during this very confusing and difficult time. I am doing my best to manage this extremely fluid situation while keeping the health of your family and mine as my TOP PRIORITY.

 Closed Until Further Notice

April 1, 2020

Due to the Statewide Shelter-in-Place order that has been put into place on April 1, 2020 - April 13, 2020 and the Fulton County Shelter-in-Place that was put into place March 31, 2020 through an unspecified date, we will not be reopening on April 6th. We are not sure when we will be able to reopen.

If you get an appointment reminder please ignore it. When we know the exact date that we will be able to reopen we will reach out.

Trust me, I want to be open just as bad as you guys want your lashes. I will be open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Please stay home and stay healthy!

See you all soon.

Appointments Upon Reopening

March 25, 2020

As most of you can tell, there has been a lot of changes and editing of appointments over the last few days. We are trying to make sure that all the appointments are booked correctly and with enough time to complete your service. We think this process will be much easier for everyone if you guys are aware of our process for booking upon reopening.

  • We are leaving online booking as an option. But, if you book your own appointment online we may have to amend it to ensure adequate schedule spacing.

  • If we need to push back reopening, our goal is to be able to simply move the schedule to the next week; keeping everyone in the same place they are in but for the following week. (For instance: If you’re booked for Monday, April 6th at 10:00am and we are not allowed to re-open until April 20th, then your new appointment will be Monday, April 20th at 10:00am.) We do understand that for some people this may not work. We will handle those situations on a case by case basis.

  • Because we are using the booking strategy above, we are allotting appointment time slots long enough for full sets. If you don’t need a full set your appointment will be adjusted at your appointment.

With things changing everyday, we are learning and trying to adapt as gracefully as possible. Thank you for your continued support, business and patients as we navigate this crisis.

In addition to scheduling, we want to make sure you are taking care of your natural lashes, as well as the extensions. Please view the section below for tips on extending the retention of your eyelash extensions as well as safe removal.

Maintaining Healthy Lashes & Safe Removal

March 25, 2020

MAINTAINING YOUR LASHES

Keeping you natural lashes safe while you extensions grow out is going to be an important part of this self quarantining process. Here are a few tips to keeping them healthy so you are ready for your fresh set:

  • Keep them clean - I know a lot of you are using this time to get back on a work out schedule and spending more time outdoors. It is important that you keep your lashes clean of natural oil build-up from sweat, as well as, pollen and other irritants. Baby shampoo is the best thing to clean your lashes with. Just dilute it with water, close your eyes and gently rub the baby shampoo into your lashes in one direction. Rubbing in circular motion may cause some tangling.

  • Keep them detangled - Brush your lashes at least once a day to keep them detangled. If you use one hand to brush them and use the index finger of the other hand to place under your lashes, making a “lash sandwich” with the mascara wand I give you and your finger, you can brush then and get them all going in the same direction easier.

  • Stay away from oils - Oil breaks down the bonds in the glue. This will cause the lashes to slide right off over time. If you want your lashes to stand a change in making it through this quarantine, you must stay away from oil.

Inevitably they will start to shed and you are going to feel like “OMG, how did I ever live a day with out lashes? Who let me leave the house like this before?”. But just remember, you are used to seeing yourself with long, thick, and dark lashes. So to you, you are going to feel naked. To everyone else, who has never had lashes, you will just look like your normal naturally beautiful self. But you’ll have already realized living without lashes is like living without air and you’ll remember you have your next appointment already booked and you’ll be counting down the days to get your lashes back on.

REMOVING YOUR LASHES

The best choice for removal would obviously be professional removal. However, if you are patient, removing them at home can be just as good of an option. Great thing is, you have all the time in the world and nowhere to go!

  • Start applying oils - coconut oil and castor oil are some of the best oils to you, but most oils will do. Put a bit of oil on your mascara wand and brush it on several times a day. Whatever you do, DO NOT excessively rub, pull or tangle your lashes trying to get them off. They will start falling off pretty quickly. Shimmying the wand through the lashes will help since you don’t have the professional tools to slide them off with.

  • Mascara Mascara has lot of oil in. Putting mascara on your lashes for a few days will get them sliding off. Unfortunately some of my “naughty list” clients already know this, you know who you are, lol. Be careful with mascara, if it is a mascara that clumps up or gets hard, when you remove the mascara you will need to let an oil based make up remover sit on there and start to break down the mascara. If you do not do this you will pull out your lashes when you try and remove the mascara. Do not use a cotton ball or anything that has small fibers that could snag your lashes. Use your lash wand and shimmy through the lashes starting from the TIP to the base. BE PATIENT!

  • Trimming - Trimming your lashes is probably my least favorite suggestion for obvious reasons (scissors near eyeballs = dangerous). But if you feel like you want to go this route, please use caution. DO NOT use a regular sized scissor. Use a manicure scissor. Try not to trim your lashes shorter than your longest lash. Trimming them and putting mascara on will help them look more even while you let them grow out.

I cannot stress this enough: PLEASE BE PATIENT. You don’t have professional products. They will not come off in one day! Take you time so that you have plenty of healthy lashes when you come back.

I can’t wait to get everyone looking glamorous again after this long self quarantine. See you all soon!

 COVID19 Temporary Closure

March 22, 2020

We have been monitoring the progression of the global COVID19 crisis closely. Please know, we have made absolutely every effort possible to remain open while providing clients with the highest sanitation standards and quality of work. In addition to my efforts, your efforts and compliance to increased safety precautions at HLBB have also been greatly appreciated.

Due to the continuing spread of the virus, I believe it is in the best interest of all of my customers, as well as myself, to HLBB close until April 6th. If a county, state or national lockdown goes in to place, this date will change.

What does this mean for your upcoming appointment?

We are going to do our best to get everyone rescheduled as soon as possible. Some of you may need a full set by the time we reopen, especially if we have to reopen later than anticipated. I will be opening up more time slots to help get as many of you in as soon as we can.

We will be rescheduling a lot of people at once. Please, be patient. We will respond as quickly as we can. Thank you for being understanding. See you soon!

 COVID19 and Common Courtesy

March 17, 2020

I would like to start by saying “THANK YOU!” to all of my loyal customers who have been reaching out over the last few days. Please know, I have complete respect for any customer who feels the need to cancel their appointment due to COVID19 crisis.

However, if you know ahead of time that you are planning on canceling your appointment, please do so with as much notice as possible. Several clients are trying to get in before we are forced to shut down. Please, have the common courtesy to call if you are not going to make it to an appointment so that someone else can have your appointment spot.

Please keep in mind small businesses will suffer and many won’t survive this global crisis. When you make the decision to cancel 5 minutes before your appointment time or decide to just not to show up, you are contributing what will be the Small Businesses Crisis of 2020.

As a small business owner, I urge you guys to do the right thing. Over the next few days or weeks it is likely that most businesses will be closed. Doing your part to help insure those businesses you know and love can re-open is very important.

Many restaurants will be doing curbside and delivery only. Please remember to tip these servers and delivery drivers.

Think about giving 50% deposits for services on appointments that will be delayed such as: hair appointments, gym training, tennis lessons, house cleaning, etc.

Let’s do our part to make it through this together!

COVID19 and HLBB

March 15, 2020

Over the past few weeks, it’s become clear that the world is facing an unprecedented challenge with the coronavirus(COVID-19). Like you, we are deeply concerned and want to do what we can to help keep our communities and our loyal customers feel safe.

As of now we will not be canceling any appointments. However, as things change in upcoming days, we may have to begin canceling appointments.

If you, your children, spouse, family or friends that you’ve been in contact with are showing any symptoms of illness, please let us know so we can reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Please remember that you are not the only person who I will be coming in close contact with through out the day. I have several clients who have autoimmune diseases and require immunosuppressants, heart and lung related illnesses, and recently recovering cancer patients. These clients are especially susceptible to the COVID19virus and we have a social responsibility to act with care with these lives in mind.

I am committed to keeping my work space sanitized for each client and myself before, after and during every appointment. In addition to my standard health safety practices, I will be asking to take the temperature, with a temple thermometer, of any client I feel is showing flu or cold symptoms. If this is something you are not comfortable with for any reason, please, feel free to reschedule for a later date.

WATCH FOR SYMPTOMS: If you or anyone you’ve come in close contact to is experiencing any symptoms such as: headache, body ache, cough, fever, congestion, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, ear pain, unusual drowsiness, wheezing, sinus pain, red eyes, chills, watery eyes or shortness of breath; please call to reschedule and stay home so you don’t potentially spread any illness you may have to others. We can reschedule your appointment for another day when your symptoms are completely gone. For more information, please visit the CDC prevention website at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/symptoms.html

Thank you for being patient and responsible through this time of global crisis.
